Who Should Join SOL

Let us remember that if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.
— Samuel Adams

When Samuel Adams first embarked on his quest to resist British tyranny, he didn’t just target the men that he believed possessed the skills and resources best suited for violent conflict, he welcomed those of all different backgrounds and put their unique qualities to work for the cause of liberty. Within any resistance movement, there are a vast sum of challenges to overcome and tribulations to sustain. Consequently, these movements require an equally vast number of experts and skill fields. The original Sons of Liberty had some members that did nothing more than provide a safe haven for outlaw brothers or secret caches of weaponry. Others, like Sam Adams himself, would make use of the press to publish anti-establishment propaganda. Adams even recruited men for the sole purpose of troublemaking. He would instruct them to make a scene or start a riot against agents and institutions of the Crown. For the Sons of Liberty, active participants in the militia only represented a small part of the resistance network.

The same holds true today with the revived brotherhood of SOL. We don’t just want a bunch of ex-military grunts and gun-nuts; we need men of all sorts to support this resistance. If the current state of affairs is troubling to you and you’re looking for a means to contribute in the fight for liberty, then look no more – the Sons of Liberty has a place for you.

To demonstrate, let’s posit a few ways that the average American can be of service:

  • Nurse/EMT/Paramedic/Doctor: Members in these fields can not only be of immediate value concerning emergency medical situations, but they can also serve in a more “hands-off” approach by supplying SOL with medical supplies or staging a safe location for a make-shift hospital, or training other members in the field of medicine so as to promote self-reliance.

  • IT/Cyber/Web Design Techs: Assist the Sons of Liberty by designing and developing online platforms or secure methods of communication. Help perform background checks on applicants through the use of open-source intelligence (OSINT).

  • Salesmen/Influencers/Public Speakers: Use your interpersonal skills to recruit for SOL and expand our network. Engage high-value individuals, businesses, and agencies to elicit their support.

  • Accountants/Admin: The larger we grow as an organization, the more imperative it will become to have persons skilled and committed to the maintenance, analysis, and safekeeping of organizational records and assets.

  • Mechanics/Farmers/Engineers: Being mechanically inclined and having a mindset for “how to make things work” cannot be left out from the list of valuable skillsets. Members that possess this sort of knowledge can make a SOL unit much more capable and independent.

  • Supervisors/Project Managers: There’s no shortage of tasks at the Sons of Liberty. Anything from recruitment campaigns, training programs, resource acquisition strategies, rally/protest security management, etc. All of these undertakings require a strong and capable leader who has experience in multitasking, critical thinking, prioritization, and supervision.

  • Writers/Artists/Journalists/Photographers: Being able to articulate a thought into a powerful message is supremely beneficial for recruitment and casting a positive light on the concept of freedom.

  • Everyone Else: Even if you don’t have any particular skills or expertise, there are still ways in which you can contribute to the cause. You can spread the message of liberty by participating in local demonstrations or supporting various other freedom-minded causes. You can disseminate SOL business cards and stickers and launch social media promotions for the organization. Do you have spare room in your house or apartment? – you can offer it as a potential safe house or cache. You can be a financial donor to the organization. You can be an informant or intelligence source. There are endless possibilities.

As you can see, so long as you have a willingness to serve the cause of liberty, SOL can make use of you and whatever talents, abilities, and resources you might have to offer – don’t let the term “militia” drive you away. Though all members of SOL will be trained in combat readiness skills, this in no way implies that all members will be deliberately employed in that role. Our strategy is far more encompassing.

The time to prepare and resist the forces of tyranny is now. Don’t submit without a fight. Stop doubting yourself and asking what you could possibly do to effect change. Tyranny ends where the resistance begins. The resistance is here. Join us – the Sons of Liberty.

Nil Desperandum.
